City of Milledgeville
The original Governor's Mansion was constructed in Milledgeville and is currently a tourist attraction. The mansion is part of a tour that includes the entire historic district of Milledgeville. The Baldwin County courthouse in Milledgeville was constructed in 1887 and remodeled in 1937. The courthouse is listed within the National Register of Historic Places.
According to 2000 Census, the City of Milledgeville had a population of 18,757 persons. Between 1990 and 2000, the city experienced a population increase of 5.8%, compared to the state growth during this period of 26.4%.
